Now 21 years old, I can still watch this film any day of the week and be completely entertained. It has also been a love of mine since I was a young kid - great fantastical sets and story, fun witches who are a riot to watch, a compelling plot, and some really great music.
I realize that the majority of the people who have given this film a bad review are those over the age of 40, and that would make sense. This is not an adult movie. It is a movie for kids, and for those of us who can still recognize that little kid in all of us who loves a good scare and a good old fashioned story about Halloween.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to watch a light-hearted, exciting film with some truly great acting in it (ala Bette Midler, Kathy Najimi and especially a young, pre Sex and the City Sarah Jessica Parker. Keep your ears out for the wonderful soundtrack in this film as Jessica Parker's singing of "Come Little Children" will mesmerize you - much like the rest of this film.

9:59 they werent scared of the girl, they screamed because she said “bless you”. Se compra. Mean girls rook. Genial. No one is going to talk about how this movie has mcgee from ncis in it. Why didn't i ever realize my fave hocus pocus character is also one of my faves from ncis. Confusing children with weed. Hahahahaha. Something you missed is how after the kids find out how a ring of salt can repel a witch they don't put a ring of salt around the car.

Kathy najimy was good in sister act 1 and 2 rat race Wall-E Peggy hill look who talking 2she did some voice in Disney movie. I dont care that i am just commenting right now lol even tho it wasnpsted 3 years ago BUT I FREAKEN LOVE THIS MOVIE AND THIS SONG. I love Kathy Najimy. She is hilarious.
